JAZUL, Ingolf Burkhardt's new band, successfully blends funky soul of the 70-ies with jazzy harmonies. Recorded by German premium soul & pop rhytm section (Achim Rafain e-bass, Roland Cabezas guitar, Dezzy Paulicke drums) this groovy album WILL MAKE YOU DANCE!

JAZUL have released their new album 'That...!' on september 4th 2009 with their new record label "C.A.R.E.music group"(www.myspace.com/caremusicgroup).  That makes them label colleagues of groups and musicians like "Tower of Power" or Don and Dave Grusin- good company! It containes great cover versions of Rio Reiser's 'König von Deutschland', Sting's 'Fragile', TOTO's 'Pamela' as well as groovy compositions of their own. Now available in stores and online (i-tunes, amazon, etc.). Or listen to some of it on www.myspace.com/jazulcom. Check it out!

Recorded 10 years ago, a project called "McJazz" is out on ACT. It features Peter Weniger (saxes) and Ingolf as soloists and is produced by Anselm Kluge (bass, voc) and Anette Humpe (voc), producer of the hit-selling pop duo "Ich & ich".

Ingolf has been recording with the new best-selling 'Martin Ehlers piano trio' as a guest soloist. Recorded on March 21st, the album "Feel the light" will be released on NRW records in winter 2009/10.

A new "Latino Blue" album will be recorded later this year. Joe Gallardo has written a lot of new stuff- EXCITING!! The group will perform at the Texas Jazz Festival in Corpus Christi, USA, in oct 2010.

Check out Ingolf's interview film, produced by trombonist/ film- and music producer Jon Welch. He talks about just everything concerning his trumpet technique, jazz-and lead playing, and many more interesting details (and funny stories!) from his career. Three teasers are out on youtube. www.jonwelchmusic.com

"With Satchmo in outer space" - the quartet Ingolf B4 combines grooves, beautiful ballads and a Miles-ish sound. Co-produced by piano genius Vladislav Sendecki, this album takes you places...

It is a true honour to be invited to play as a soloist with English saxophone legend Alan Skidmore. Since 2002 Ingolf is part of Alan Skidmore's British-African group UBIZO, produced by Colin Towns. Jazz quintet meets African percussion - a great success at Ronnie Scott´s as well as at numerous European Jazz festivals. Their new CD 'Fifty journeys' is out now. Don't miss their concert at the Düsseldorf Jazz Rally on May 31st 2009. www.provocateurrecords.co.uk

Joe Gallardo’s Latino Blue (Enja records) features Ingolf's latin side. An exciting mix of latin rhythm and groovy melodic jazz, founded by the Mexican-American trombonist / composer/ piano player Joe Gallardo. Also check out the Big Band Version 'Latin Jazz Latino' (Skip records), recorded by the NDR Big Band. You'll hear Ingolf on lead trumpet on most of the tunes.

The 'Matterhorns', Ingolf's studio hornsection, is constantly busy. After a session with famous young austrian singer Christina Stürmer they recorded with James Last, being part of a Big Band horn section, at GAGA studios. www.matterhorns.de

Remember the 'Goombay dance band'? They're about to bring out a new album. Guess who's playing the high- note trumpet solo...? Recorded on June, 4th, 2008.

Since 2006, Ingolf plays SCHAGERL trumpets and flugelhorns exclusively.  www.schagerl.at

Ingolf has resigned from the music conservatory in Hamburg, giving back his professor title. Unfortunately, they've  still got him listed...
